Power Surge

A power surge occurs when the electrical current flowing in a circuit increases beyond a safe limit. Such a spike in electrical flow can cause damage to electronics and electrical appliances when their tolerance limits are exceeded. There are different causes of electrical power surges, including lightning strikes. This is because lightning is electricity, and when it strikes it charges the air around. Damage to Power Lines and Connections
